Join Our Santa Fe River and Alachua County as we restore the shoreline at Poe Springs County Park! We will be planting trees near the spring to prevent shoreline erosion. Park in the main parking lot and follow the path to the spring. The event will start at the spring at 9 AM and should conclude by noon. Please bring a water bottle and be prepared to get dirty! We will provide shovels, but you may want to bring your gardening gloves.  Registration is highly encouraged at  Alachua County Volunteer Portal.

  • Date:  Friday, November 20, 2026
  • Time:  9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Location:  Poe Springs County Park
  • Details:  This planting event is especially rewarding because we have had several work days removing invasive species and planting natives brings it full-circle.
