Singin’ & Songwritin’ Contest

Official Rules - 2010

1.    The theme of the song must relate to the Santa Fe River

2.    Lyrics and melody must be the original creation of the entrant (singer

and/or songwriter) and may not be more than 4.5 minutes in length

3.    Each entrant may submit one song, accompanied by a $10.00   

check or money order made payable to Our Santa Fe River

4.    A cash prize of $100.00 will be awarded to the winner

5.    All contestants will be video-taped separately for Youtube.  Signing     the consent (application) is acknowledgment of this opportunity.  OSFR wishes to upload ALL performances.  OSFR reserves the right to not upload any or all of the performances.  If the artist chooses to not participate in Youtube for any reason after performance, they will have 24 hours to contact us via e-mail to decline the Youtube offer.  If the artist wants a copy of the performance, they may contact the production company on their own.  No other person may purchase a copy of the performance without express written consent of the artist.

6.    Entries will not be returned, but all rights remain with the writer(s)

7.    The entry package must include the following:

- 6 lyric sheets on 8 ½ X 11” paper, printed in ink or typed

            - 5 lyric sheets must contain the song title and lyrics only

            - 1 lyric sheet must contain the song title, the lyrics,

               and the name, address and phone number of the

               composer(s)

- a completed 2010 entry form

- entry fee of $10.00 per song

 8.     Acknowledgement of the receipt of entry package will be provided

to entrants who include a self-addressed, stamped envelope

 9.    Criteria for judging include AUTHENTICITY, ORIGINALITY, QUALITY OF

LYRICS, MELODY AND COMPOSITION

10.   Entries must be postmarked no later than September 25, 2010

11.   Entrants must be available to sing their song at the Singin’ &

Songwritin’ Contest on Sunday, October 3, 2010.  The contest will be

held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at The Great Outdoors Restaurant in High Springs
